Structure & expectations

Clear, fair, and human

Clear expectations are what make a home feel safe and a recovery feel steady. Here's how Anchor & Ascent is run.

What we ask of residents

Standards that steady you

We keep our standards clear and apply them consistently — not to control anyone, but because fairness and predictability are what let men relax into their recovery. Residents always know what's expected, and they're supported in meeting it.

  • Stay drug- and alcohol-free — supported by consistent drug and alcohol screening.
  • Stay productive — work, job search, school, recovery support, or another approved activity.
  • Stay involved in recovery — meetings, sponsorship, and recovery support are part of the routine.
  • Contribute to the home — keep shared spaces clean and respect housemates, neighbors, and the community.
  • Communicate honestly — it's how we stay flexible with schedules and passes.
  • Respect house guidelines — curfews and house meetings protect everyone's recovery.

Structure here is steady, fair, and human. We're flexible where it counts — especially around work and rebuilding life — as long as communication is strong and everyone's pointed in the same direction: lasting recovery.
